is concipated as a high-quality and non-biased vehicle for exchange on issues regarding world economics, politics, trading and business / investment.

If you would like to participate to the café then please read the following Rules of Engagement and other criteria for submission.

Rules of Engagement

caféDINL will be a front page section of the website for global oriented guest writers to participate with relevant and timely articles on the global economy. On issues of economics, politics and investment, the main geographic areas of interest and concentration are the European Union, USA/North America and Asia. Of course other regions and country inputs will be duly considered and vetted. On issues related to analysis, trading, investment strategy and sectors, all articles will be reviewed. The articles for submission should have the journalistic standards of :
  • logical and readable
  • global significance with regard to subject matter
  • general interest to a well-educated and inquisitive readership

No consideration of articles will be given to those containing :

  • excessive opinions or political stances
  • rude or derogatory language
  • excessive critique of other authors; rebuttals yes, harassment no
    (in this case a User Forum will be introduced where more "freestyle" opinions can be expressed)

Length, Remuneration and Copyright

Articles submissions should be between 500 and 2,000 words. Ideally the submissions should not have been previously published but this is not a strict prerequisite for consideration. Der Invest Informant shall reserve the right to publish or reject any submission received. For articles which are submitted, there are two options :
  • copyright is taken over by Der Invest Informant
  • copyright is retained by the Author
It is foreseen that some articles will be paid for by Der Invest Informant. If your submission is for paid consideration, please inform accordingly. In this case, the article may not have been submitted to others nor may it have already been published previously. On agreement, copyright will be taken over by Der Invest Informant. For these articles, we will provide further pricing information based on quality, length, timeliness of content, etc.

Language

Articles for submission may be either in English or German.

Contact & Submission

Submissions should ideally be in text format and the text be pasted directly into the email, i.e. Word documents are to ideally be avoided for obvious virus reasons. All graphics should ideally be attached as GIF or JPG files with appropriated indications in the text where each graphic should be placed. Each submission shall require a short biographical note concerning the author and his/her professional background or affiliation. A photo is optional. Please indicate if your article is for paying or non-paying consideration and if you would prefer to retain copyright. Please submit your articles and/or queries to us in exactly the following format:
  • For article submissions: Subject Line in email : "Cafe Submission - Title of Article"

  • For questions or remarks : Subject Line in email : "Cafe Remark - Query"

Legal Considerations

In agreeing to publish articles and/or graphics at caféDINL, contributing authors also agree to allow the reuse of such materials such as they are deemed reelvant and useful. Equally, contributions may appear on other Der Invest Informant vehicles or other parts of the website. Previously published articles are accepted, as stated above. If your contribution has been previously published by other sources, please state where and when and whether your article is covered by copyright of those sources or only yourself.
